Since 2024, he has been attending the Advanced Specialization Course in Electronic Music at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under the guidance of Michelangelo Lupone. In 2025, he attended the Advanced Course in Electronic Music and Sound Computing at the Accademia Chigiana, led by Alvise Vidolin, where he was awarded the Diploma of Merit.
Cattaneo has also participated in international masterclasses in composition and electronic music with distinguished composers and musicians, including Ivan Fedele, Philippe Hurel, Michele Tadini, Luis Naón, Martin Matalon, and many other internationally renowned artists.
Cattaneo’s works have been performed in prestigious international contexts, including the Biennale di Venezia, the opening concert of the Austrian Pavilion (Italy), the Spatial Audio Week at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Finland), the Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome (Italy), the Contemporary Music Week at the Higher Conservatory of Salamanca (Spain), Palazzo Marino (Italy), Teatro LAC (Switzerland), AGON (Italy), the Conservatory of Lyon (France), Teatro Nadòr theren in Budapest (Hungary), the Castello Baronale of Cellamare in Bari (Italy), the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland), the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan (Italy), SUPSI University in Mendrisio (Switzerland), the Church of St. Augustine in Siena for the International Chigiana Summer Festival (Italy), LMTA Accademy of Vilnius (Lithuania), Triennale di Milano (Italy), HSLU Lucern (Switzerland), Aerum Centre of Contemporary Music in Daegu (South Korea). His pieces have been performed by leading figures in contemporary music, such as the Sillages Ensemble (France), MDI Ensemble (Italy), Roberto Casado, Myriam Garcia Fidalgo, Mobius Duo, Peter Vale, the ECME Ensemble, and under the direction of renowned conductors such as Yoichi Sugiyama and Simone Fontanelli.
Among other achievements, Cattaneo was composer-in-residence for SZ Sugar (Revelation Lab 2025 residency in collaboration with SIAE, “Per Chi Crea,” and the Italian Ministry of Culture) and for Tempo Reale during summer 2024 (PiGro Residency). In January 2025, he won second prize at the “International Composition Competition for Timpani,” held at the Conservatory of Lyon and organized by the INFINITY Association in collaboration with the Conservatory of Lyon and GRAME.
Professionally, Cattaneo is also active in the field of sound direction and live electronics, having collaborated with numerous composers, performers, and ensembles such as Divertimento Ensemble, Peter Vale, Marco Rizzi, Javier Torres Maldonado, Cesare Saldicco, MDI Ensemble, Michele Tadini, Mobius Duo, Alberto Carretero and Andrea Molino.
From 2025 he is one of curator of “Ramificazioni Festival”.
From 2025 he is member of the “CLEE” (Chigiana live electronics ensemble)
From 2026 he work as a composer for “Yokai ensemble”.
